About Copyrights * Sub Club Copirights * Authors Copyrights
About CopyrightsCopyrights protect authors, so they can manage their work. Although particular laws might differ in different countries, there are basicaly two types of protection. All written work (a text, article, entry in database,...) marked by copyright can't be republished without permision from the author (the onwer of copyright). All graphics (pictures, photos, icons,...) are protexted by copyright even without copyright mark and can't be republished without author's permision.
Sub Club CopyrightsSub Club has to protect it't content as the whole, as well as the work of it's authors and contributors. That's why all content is marked by copyright (at the bottom of the page). Sub Club might give permision to republish it's content, it it's "for good thing". We can't give permision to republish some content, if other person (author) is holding a copyright and we publish the content with his permision only.
Authors CopyrightsThere are two ways to publish on the Sub Club web site. Firstly, it's "contribution", which means that the author doesn't hold the copyright anymore, as it's covered by general Sub Club copyright. Typicaly, the database entries are "contributions" of their authors. Secondly, an author can give permision to publish a content. He doesn't lose the copyright and can give permision to publish this content to other penson(s) as well unlike Sub Club, who only publish the content with his permision. Typicaly, the articles are published this way. It is necessary to mark the content with copyright, i.e. "author's name © 2006". |
